Presentation and Panals

Each panelist will have 15 minutes to present his or her paper.
This time includes any time spent on visual presentations, PowerPoint, slides, film screenings, etc. During your presentation, a conference coordinator will periodically inform you of your remaining time with time cards. You will be told when you have 5 minutes, 2 minutes, and 0 minutes remaining. To ensure the smooth running of the conference, we ask that all presenters keep to the time limit.

All audio-visual presentations (PowerPoint, Keynote, Prezi, etc.) must be submitted to the UWUBC Conference Committee Staff during morning registration on April 21st. Please bring your presentation on a CD or a USB thumb drive. Please name your file as “Family Name_Given Name.”  For example, “Faust_Drew.”  (We will return your CD or thumb drive to you.) We will immediately upload these onto the conference laptop.  You may bring your own personal computer in case of some unforeseen calamity, but for the sake of efficiency, do not expect to use your own equipment for your presentation.

Each panel will have 3-4 presenters.
In an effort to maximize the opportunity for exchange between participants, we will not have faculty facilitators or other reviewers. Each presenter will have 15 minutes to present his or her paper. After all participants have presented we will open the floor for discussions between participants. In place of faculty discussants, we will be sending all papers from each panel to all presenters within that panel. In this way we hope that panelists
will ask questions and provide constructive comments to their fellow panelists.

Please arrive at the main conference room at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time to go over any AV issues that may arise.

The C.K. Choi Building is a fully accessible building. Should you require any special consideration due to a disability, please inform us as soon as possible.
