The Inter-Asian Equation: Exploring Policy and Humanities

The First Annual Joint Jackson School-MAAPPS Conference seeks to combine crossinstitutional graduate student perspectives on Asia Pacific Policy. We define Asia Pacific
broadly, welcoming presenters specializing on East, Central, South, and Southeast Asia, and
Asian-North American Relations.


Purpose and Goals
  1. Combine cross-institutional graduate student perspectives on Asia Pacific Policy. We define Asia Pacific broadly, welcoming presenters specializing on East, Central, South, and Southeast Asia, and Asian-North American Relations.
  2. Foster joint cooperation with the University of Washington’s Jackson School of International Relations and the University of British Columbia’s Institute for Asian Research (IAR).
  3. Papers submitted to the conference have the possibility of being published in a joint publication or small booklet.
